Yeah, I haven't updated this at all. I've been meaning to, but I'm really lazy lately. However, the strange dream I had last night merits a post.
I dreamt that someone I knew went to prison. They were trying to rob a grocery store. They would've made it out before the police arrived, but they stopped to take all of the change out the payphones, delaying their escape. My dream starts with me talking to them about their experience in prison - they just got out at the start of the dream.
For some reason, I wind up in a large gymnasium after the conversation. The gym was larger than that of a normal high school, and far more packed. The basketball court was cramped with hundreds of people of all ages, and the game they were playing was like Calvinball on an epic level.
Some people were throwing footballs into the basketball hoops. Others were throwing various kinds of balls past and over furniture that somehow ended up on the court. I squatted down behind a sculpture on a pedestal and pushed it forward as I advanced on a small group that was playing an impromptu game of dodgeball. It was like a game within the bigger chaotic game. At some point, I got too close and they all spotted me. For some reason, all of the hundreds of people playing the bigger game stopped what they were doing to all look at me at once. I turned and ran as the dodgeballers went at me. Another group of dodgeballers jumped in, protecting me and throwing balls at my own assailants. I'm sure it would've only gotten more awesome from here, but this is where I woke up.

Migrating from LiveJournal
I don't have anything great or groundbreaking to say just yet. This is just the first new post in a new blog that coincides with a new post-college stage in my life. I had a LiveJournal a few months before I started my Freshman year (about 7 years ago), but the whole thing looked like a train wreck.
The earlier LJ entries were neat, but it got boring as time went on. The template was hideous and the entries were falling into the pattern of being silly quiz results and short links or image posts. Now, I have Facebook and Twitter for such. Hopefully, I'll have a clean slate here and I can make this a lot better.
The point of this blog will be to record longer passages about significant things I've seen and experienced since moving to NYC. I won't update all of the time, but at least not every entry will be about what I had for breakfast this morning.
I've been living in Brooklyn for almost three months, now. I was originally from a small town near Syracuse. I've lived in a myriad of places including Binghamton, Beacon, and The Bronx.
Okay, obligatory introductory stuff is done. I don't really have more to say until I go out and do something.
